Itinerary
Meet and Greet - arrival day 14 January 2012
You will be transferred from Johannesburg to Biyamiti Private Bushveld Lodge. After meeting the team and settling into your cottage you will get onto our open-sided safari game viewing vehicle for your first gamedrive with Neil.

Biyamiti Private Bushveld Lodge (private bushveld lodge/south eastern Kruger)

14-15 JANUARY 2012 (1 NIGHT)
Nestled on the banks of the Biyamiti river, this private bushveld lodge plays host to some of the biggest buffalo herds in the Kruger. Elephants, lion and leopard are frequent visitors to the water pools in front of the lodge, as well as rhino (both white and black rhino) and hyena. Our game drives meander in and out of the river system, up and down rolling hills, and through the mixed thornveld and riverine areas of the Crocodile River.

Accommodation at Biyamiti consists of a two bedroomed en-suite family cottage that sleeps five people, which are fully serviced under beautiful thatched roofs and very comfortable. 
An optional morning guided bushwalk will be conducted by Neil and another armed ranger.

Accommodation is in a private en-suite two-bedroomed cottage or one-bedroomed unit under thatch (fresh linen and towels), close to the camp's perimeter fence where animals are often seen walking in the dry river to bed towards the dam.
Berg-en-Dal means 'mountain and dale' aptly named for its superb location. Great care has been taken to preserve the natural vegetation in the camp area, which comprises Malelane Mountain Bushveld (woodland), attracting a variety of grazers. The area hosts white rhino, kudu, impala, giraffe, elephant, reedbuck, klipspringer, grey rhebok and warthog. Leopard and wild dog are regularly seen in the region. Bird watchers will find the appeal of Berg-en-Dal Restcamp irresistible as a wide variety of birds species can be seen here.

You will be collected at your Johannesburg hotel/airport and transferred by our preferred private road transfer to Berg-en-Dal. After meeting the team and settling into your cottage you will get onto our open-sided safari game viewing vehicle for your first gamedrive with Neil.

25 TO 28 FEBRUARY 2012 (3 NIGHTS) Accommodation is in a private en-suite cottage under thatch that sleeps two people (fresh linen and towels), close to the camp's perimeter fence where animals are often seen walking in the dry river to bed towards the dam.

Skukuza (restcamp/south western Kruger)

Skukuza is the Kruger National Park's largest rest camp and is situated on the southern banks of the Sabie River and is home to some interesting birds and amazing plant life.
Accommodation consists of a serviced (fresh linen and towels) private en-suite bungalows that sleep two people. Wildlife seen here includes hyena, kudu, wilddogs, giraffe, roan, eland, sable, warthog, impala, waterbuck, reedbuck and rhino.

You will be collected from your Joburg or Nelspruit hotel/ or airport by our preferred road operator who will transfer you to the Kruger to Meet Neil (your guide) and Gordon (your chef).

You will be settled into your accommodation and then onto our open-sided safari game viewing vehicle for your first memorable game drive conducted by Neil and your introduction to the world-famous Kruger National Park.

Berg-en-Dal(restcamp/southern Kruger)

8-11 MARCH 2012 (3 NIGHTS) Situated inside the Kruger it is 10kms from the main entrance gate (Malelane) and is a perfect introduction to a wonderful stay in the Kruger. The area hosts white rhino, kudu, impala, giraffe, some elephant, reedbuck, klipspringer, grey rhebok and warthog.
Leopard and wild dog are regularly seen in the region and lion are usually found in the lower plains on the roads to Skukuza and Crocodile Bridge. The camp’s swimming pool is the perfect place to cool off in the heat of the day.
Accommodation is in private en-suite units under thatch (fresh linen and towels) close to the camp's perimeter fence where animals are often seen walking in the river to bed towards the dam. A night drive will be conducted on one of the nights.

Biyamiti Lodge (private bushveld lodge/south eastern Kruger)

11-13 MARCH 2012(2 NIGHTS)
Nestled on the banks of the Biyamiti river, this private bushveld lodge plays host to some of the biggest buffalo herds in the Kruger. Elephants, lion and leopard are frequent visitors to the water pools in front of the lodge, as well as rhino (both white and black rhino) and hyena. Our game drives meander in and out of the river system, up and down rolling hills, and through the mixed thornveld and riverine areas of the Crocodile River.

Accommodation at Biyamiti consists of an en-suite cottage, which is fully serviced under beautiful thatched roof. A morning guided bushwalk will be conducted by Neil and another armed ranger.

In both locations Neil and his chef take up residence in a nearby unit from which they will host your mealtimes, fireside conversations and hospitality.

On your last day after breakfast and a gamedrive you will be collected and transferred to Johannesburg or Nelspruit.

Your last three nights are spent back at Berg-en-Dal in a private one-bedroomed en-suit cottage that sleeps two people. The area hosts white rhino, kudu, impala, giraffe, some elephant, reedbuck, klipspringer, grey rhebok and warthog. Leopard and wild dog are regularly seen in the region. Lion are usually found in the lower plains on the roads to Skukuza and Crocodile Bridge. 12 TO 13 SEPTEMBER 2011 (1 NIGHT)
Malelane Camp accommodates a maximum of 19 persons. No day visitors are allowed, therefore resident guests can enjoy the privacy and intimacy offered by this camp.Witness the spectacular beauty of the rising morning sun illuminating the sky during morning drives, and the seemingly sudden awakening of the bush with the shrill burst of bird song and the canter of animals to waterholes.
Accommodation is a private en-suite bungalow for two people.

Satara (restcamp/central Kruger)
Skukuza

13-15 SEPTEMBER 2011 (2 NIGHTS)
After breakfast on the second day begins a fantastic privately guided game drive into the ecology and diversity of the southern landscapes of the Kruger, where you spend nights 2 and 3 in Satara. Situated in an excellent game viewing area, Satara has relatively open bushland and the game is plentiful and diverse. Satara camp itself has a rustic charm, with the accommodation set out in a series of circles. Satara camp is well wooded and the bird-life is prolific. At night the clink of fruit bats is fused with the chirping of cicadas and crickets.Owls and nightjars add to the symphony that is punctuated by the whoop of hyena, the screech of jackal and the roar of lion.

Talamati Lodge (private bushveld lodge/centralKruger)
Skukuza

15-17 SEPTEMBER 2011 (2 NIGHTS)

This private bushveld lodge is ideally situated in the central Kruger NP. Our drives and activities include several dams, open savanna and thorn thickets with some amazing riverbeds and pools to explore. Elephants, lion and buffalo are prolific in this area as well as the endangered cheetah.

Night time at Talamati plays host to unbelievable African wildlife sounds, and you are sure to see many animals at the waterhole by simply sitting in the game viewing hide for an hour or two. Bird watching is also prolific. A resident troop of baboons is always seen foraging around the camp in the evenings.

Talamati is an ideal lodge to photograph the wildlife in open savanna, and often includes remarkable sights of hunting predators, large herds of buffalo and elephants aggregating around water holes.

Your accommodation at Talamati consists an en-suite unit (fresh linen and towels) that sleeps two people. They are fully serviced under beautiful thatched roofs and very comfortable.
A morning guided bushwalk will be conducted by Neil and another armed ranger on one of the mornings.

Skukuza (restcamp/central Kruger)

17-19 SEPTEMBER 2011(2 NIGHTS)

Skukuza restcamp is named after the Tsonga name for James Stevenson-Hamilton, the first warden of the park. Literally translated it means 'he who sweeps clean', a reference to his removal of all the local people to make way for the establishment of the Park. The Stevenson-Hamilton Memorial Museum houses many interesting artifacts – very well known is the knife ranger Harry Wolhuter used to single-handedly slay a Lion and save his own life. Skukuza is the Kruger National Park's largest rest camp and is situated on the southern banks of the Sabie River. Skukuza Restcamp is home to some interesting birds and amazing plant life.
Accommodation consists of a serviced (fresh linen and towels)private en-suite cottage that sleeps 4 people. Wildlife in this region includes
hyena, kudu, wilddogs, giraffe, roan, eland, sable, warthog, impala, waterbuck, reedbuck and rhino.
