The area around Orpen allows for seeing the nomadic Senegal (Lesser Black-winged) Plover, and sometimes Montagu's Harrier. White-faced and Comb (Knob-billed) Ducks, Little Grebe (Dabchick) and Lesser Moorhen, African Rail and African Crake, as well as Wooly-necked, Marabou, Open-billed (African Openbill), White and Black storks may all be seen in the camp and surrounding areas. Additionally, the camp is home to a wealth of raptors, shrikes, nightjars and owls.

9 TO 11 APRIL 2027 (2 NIGHTS)

Situated in an excellent game viewing area, Satara has relatively open bushland and the game is plentiful and diverse. Satara camp itself has a rustic charm, with the accommodation set out in a series of circles. Satara camp is well wooded, and the birdlife is prolific. Owls and nightjars add to the symphony that is punctuated by the whoop of hyena, the screech of jackal and the roar of lion.

Accommodation consists of an en-suite unit that sleeps two people (includes fresh linen and towels).

Lower Sabie Rest Camp (south western Kruger)

11 TO 13 APRIL 2027 (2 NIGHTS)

Large numbers of game are attracted to the abundance of water, sweet grass and foliage in the vicinity of Lower Sabie Rest Camp, giving rise to a diversity of game, almost unequalled anywhere else in the park. The area is also rich in lion, cheetah, elephant, hippopotamus, rhino, herds of buffalo up to 800 strong, and is known for its high density of warthog.

Accommodation consists of an en-suite private cottage that sleeps two people, which is fully serviced (fresh linen and towels) under beautiful, thatched roofs overlooking the Sabie River.

Biyamiti Private Bushveld Lodge (south eastern Kruger)

13 TO 16 APRIL 2027 (3 NIGHTS)

Nestled on the banks of the Biyamiti river, this private bushveld lodge plays host to some of the biggest buffalo herds in the Kruger. Elephants, lion and leopard are frequent visitors to the water pools in front of the lodge, as well as rhino (both white and black rhino) and hyena. Our game drives meander in and out of the river system, up and down rolling hills, and through the mixed thornveld and riverine areas of the Crocodile River.

Accommodation consists of en-suite unit that sleeps two people, which is fully serviced (fresh linen and towels) under beautiful, thatched roofs.

Departure day:
We always fit in an early morning game drive and a hearty breakfast before departure to the airport.
